Unannounced Xbox Elite 2 white controller emerged in unboxing video
Microsoft is believed to be developing a new white version of the Xbox Elite 2 controller. A YouTube video of an unannounced Xbox Elite 2 controller has surfaced with a white face plate and black grips, months after a white Xbox Elite 2 controller was reported to have been seen at a shop in the United States.
The unboxing video, posted to a YouTube account named as Nicholas Lugo, shows someone claiming that the secret white Xbox Elite 2 controller was acquired in the United States. This film has recently been discovered by Twitter users after having been uploaded three weeks ago. It's unclear whether this device was sold in an American shop or if Microsoft plans to release a white version of its Xbox Elite 2 controller any time soon.
Following leaked images of a second-generation Elite controller, Microsoft debuted a new white version of its original Xbox Elite controller nearly four years ago. In August, Microsoft will attend Gamescom, the same conference at which it announced its white Xbox Elite controller last year.
The Xbox Elite controllers, while popular and well-received, have had problems. Microsoft was compelled to increase the warranty on its Xbox Elite 2 controller in 2020 after reports of hardware issues emerged. The 90-day guarantee period was extended to a year from the date of purchase as a result of the extension.
Microsoft is notorious for leaking information about the Xbox controller before official announcements. Before Microsoft had even acknowledged it would release a white version of the controller, a white Xbox Series X controller was revealed online. A month later, when the box for this controller leaked, confirming an Xbox Series S system before Microsoft had officially announced it, we knew what to expect.
