Olaf Scholz also noted that Germany and Canada have agreed on a new military aid package. In addition to air defense equipment, it will include missile systems and tons of ammunition.
Recall that Ukraine signed a contract with Diehl Defense in early summer for the purchase of IRIS-T surface-to-air missile systems, which can destroy targets at a distance of up to 40 km. The sum was €178 million. The funds for SAMs will be allocated from the German budget.
