Pirate Fleet, Battles with Colonialists and Journey to the Caribbean: the announced adventure strategy game Tortuga - A Pirate's Tale
At Gamescom 2022 publisher Kalypso Media and Gaming Minds Studios announced a pirate strategy game Tortuga - A Pirate's Tale.
Here's What We Know
The events of Tortuga - A Pirate's Tale take place in the Caribbean. The players' task is to gather a fleet of pirate ships and go to meet dangerous adventures in search of fame and treasure. The developers declare a large and rich world, meetings with famous historical figures, who can be both comrades and opponents. The game will allow you to plunder merchant convoys on the water, or on land attacking a settlement. Battles will be presented in the form of tactical turn-based battles. To create your own unique fleet there will be available 18 types of ships with the ability to put their own flag, weapons and customize their appearance. For the journey to be successful, the captain of the fleet will have to maintain the morale of the pirates, so that they do not riot. You' ll have to fight Spanish, Dutch, French, and English colonizers in the 17th century Caribbean. You'll find about 360 different types of equipment, 35 pirate skills and different types of ships.
We are also promised more than 25 hours of play in the era of "Golden Age" of pirates with a variety of characters, challenges, locations, stories and a unique atmosphere that will follow in taverns, ships and on every corner where the pirate's foot dares to set foot.
Tortuga - A Pirate's Tale is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2023. The game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for 12 months. The project will also appear on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.
