Australia buys 40 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters for $1,950,000,000
The Australian armed forces will buy 40 American UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters.

The publication Defense News writes about it. The amount of the deal is $1,950,000,000. The United States of America has already approved the purchase.
"The UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter will improve the Australian Army's ability to deploy combat power to divide Australia's strategic encirclement, deter actions contrary to its interests, and respond with robust force if necessary. Australia would have no difficulty accepting this equipment into its armed forces," the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement.

The UH-60M Black Hawk is an American tactical multirole helicopter. It is designed to carry personnel and military cargo, and for evacuation of the wounded and transportation of bulky cargo. Production of the UH-60M Black Hawk is the Sikorsky Aircraft Company. The first version of the helicopter was released in 1974. Since then it has received many modifications.
