You can now play over 5,000 projects on Steam Deck
The portable console from Valve - Steam Deck was released almost half a year ago. Games for the console were divided into several categories: "Adapted for Steam Deck", "Playable" and "Unplayable".
In the first category even now there aren't too many projects, but the second category could already boast dozens of games at the start of sales, and now this number has exceeded 5000 units!
The fact that a new bar has been set was announced by the developers themselves on Twitter:
Oh hey, another big milestone - we just passed 5,000 tested Verified and Playable titles on Steam Deck! Plenty more to go (so many games on Steam), but just wanted to take a moment to celebrate! ???? pic.twitter.com/el7iBWdEo8

That's a really big number of games, but not compared to the entire Steam library, which has 75,000+ games. Note that the developers combined the categories "Adapted for Steam Deck" and "Playable" in their counts. Also note that games that fall into the "Playable" category are not 100% compatible with the console, so bugs and crashes can happen there. So before you buy a game on Steam for Steam Deck, see exactly how the game goes on the console.
