Mars, mines and mysterious circumstances: IGN presents teaser and interview with developers of sci-fi thriller Fort Solis

A new teaser of the game Fort Solis appeared on IGN channel, which will tell about strange events on a remote mining station on Mars. The main roles were played by Troy Baker, who is known for the role of Joel from The Last of Us and Roger Clark, who played Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Here's What We Know

First, let's look at the game's teaser. In it, Dr. Wyatt Taylor, played by Troy, says that one of the employees became very sick. He is dehydrated and vomiting. Wyatt is clearly alert and at the end reports that something is going on at the station.

Regarding the interviews with the developers:

First of all, the head of Fallen Leaf, the studio that develops the game, James Tinsdale, told what Fort Solis is. Fort Solis is a first-person sci-fi thriller set on a remote mining station on Mars. The team was inspired by such projects as Detroit: Become Human and The Quarry, where a lot of attention is paid to the story. As for cinema, they were inspired by the film Moon by Duncan Jones. But when creating the gameplay, they looked at Dead Space, where there is a mysterious atmosphere of space with narrow corridors and dark rooms.

The game is created in the style of "continuous frame", as it was in God of War 2018 and in the movie 1917.

Roger Clark will play engineer Jack Leary. He will not have weapons, only all kinds of engineering tools, although the developers assured that he will have to fight in the game. It will also be possible to explore the entire station and even the surface of Mars, however, each time the storm outside will intensify and conduct research outside the station will be more and more difficult.

Finally, the game will have variability, so Fort Solis will have several endings.

When We Can Expect It

The game does not have a release date right now, but it is going to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
