Lockheed Martin brings HIMARS mockup to arms show in Australia, as all jet systems shipped to Ukraine

Lockheed Martin is exhibiting at the Land Force Defense show in Brisbane. The manufacturer brought the HIMARS to Australia, but not a real one.

Here's What We Know

The American defense company did not come to Queensland empty-handed. Lockheed Martin brought the M142 HIMARS highly mobile artillery system to the exhibition, but in the form of a small mock-up.

One would think at once that the manufacturer decided not to spend money to bring the multiple rocket launcher system from the US to the other continent, because Australia does not yet have its own HIMARS (it is planned to buy 20 systems). But in fact the reason is different.

Naturally, Lockheed Martin representatives were asked why the company was limited to a miniature mockup of the missile system. As it turned out, all available M142 HIMARS are now in Ukraine.

Flashback

The United States transferred 16 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the summer. The delivery of four more systems was announced on the evening of October 4 after a conversation between Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky.
