PCGamesN talked to former Bethesda developer Nate Purkeypile about Starfield and how big the upcoming space journey will be.

Here's What We Know

Starfield is developed by about 500 people. It was the colossal size of the game and the development process that became one of the reasons why Nate left Bethesda.

Nate said that the scale of Starfield is the main thing that distinguishes the game from other studio projects. For example, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4 were created by one team. Fallout 76 was already mostly made by two studios. But Starfield is a much bigger project, there were about 500 people in the team, while I had a maximum of 200 in Fallout 76. It is worth considering that it has been some time since Nate has not worked at Bethesda, so even more people can work on the game now.
