Algeria buys six large Aksungur UAVs from Turkey, which can stay in the air for up to 50 hours

The Algerian Air Force is buying Aksungur drones from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

This was reported by the publication Shepard. We are talking about six UAVs. Algeria will be the first export buyer of Aksungur. The amount of the deal and contract deadlines are not reported.

Aksungur is a Turkish UAV. It is designed for reconnaissance as well as to engage targets, including those outside the UAV's field of vision. The Aksungur was built in 18 months. The UAV was based on another Turkish drone, the Anka. Aksungur can stay in the air for up to 50 hours. It is equipped with satellite control system and can carry up to 750 kg of payload.
