"The hell with it": Musk will continue to fund Starlink communications in Ukraine
It seems that the head of SpaceX company Elon Musk has changed his mind to stop funding the work of Starlink satellite communications in Ukraine.
Earlier SpaceX can no longer pay for Starlink in Ukraine and is asking the Pentagon for funding - the cost of services in 2023 will be $380 million with a request to take over the funding of Starlink satellite communication complexes in Ukraine, because, according to its data, the financing of services amounts to over $120 million by the end of the year and about $400 million during the next 12 months.
In recent days Ukraine and the Pentagon reacted to the statement of Musk and SpaceX: Starlink terminals worked, work and will work: for example, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania suggested creating a coalition of Ukrainian allies to pay for Starlink, or find an alternative supplier. But apparently Musk himself decided to close the issue by continuing to fund it. Here's what he wrote on Twitter:
"The hell with it … even though Starlink is still losing money & other companies are getting billions of taxpayer $, we’ll just keep funding Ukraine govt for free"
