The AFU captured a kamikaze drone Shahed-131 - a smaller version of Shahed-136, weighing 135 kg, warhead weighing 15 kg and a launch range of 900 km
The Ukrainian Armed Forces got another Shahed-131 unmanned aerial vehicle. The kamikaze drone fell into the hands of soldiers of the 28th separate mechanized brigade.
Here's What We Know
As you can see in the video and photos, Russia labels the Shahed-131 as "Geran-1." It is a smaller version of the Shahed-136, which is also known as the Geran-2. Both UAVs are made according to the "flying wing" scheme and operate on an identical principle. Layout of parts is also identical.

The Shahed-131 has a wingspan of 2.2 meters and a length of 2.6 meters. This is respectively 30 cm and 90 cm less compared to the Shahed-136. The mass has been reduced from 200 kg to 135 kg and the weight of the warhead from 15-20 kg to 10-15 kg. Battery capacity of 17 000 mA*h allows the drone to fly up to 900 km.
A few weeks ago Ukrainian specialists examined the captured Shahed-131. As a result of the analysis it was found that the Iranian drone kamikaze has a body made of carbon fiber with metal inserts and spare parts available on the market. Specifically, TMS320F128335 microcontrollers from the U.S. company Texas Instruments. They are sold for $50 on eBay.
