Iranian Mohajer-6 drone has foreign components and even a Ukrainian part - steering system
Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners successfully shot down one of the Iranian Mohajer-6 drones, which Russia is actively using in the war against Ukraine. It remained intact, so the employees of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense took on the job and disassembled the drone and studied its technical innards.
Here's What We Know
In particular, the SDI was interested in how a country under sanctions for decades was able to set up production of such UAVs.
As a result, it turned out that most of the components of the Mohajer-6 are of foreign origin - there is even a Ukrainian detail. Moreover, all parts are marked in the state language of Iran - Farsi, which undoubtedly attested to the Iranian origin of the drone.
"We compared this drone with other drones of this company and found out that the drone contains ¾ of components from the USA, there are also components from Japan, China, Sweden, Austria and even one component of Ukrainian production. Now the CID specialists will figure out how they got there," a CID representative said.
All the evidence will be handed over to international organizations.
