Media: Ukraine will receive 40 Greek BMP-1s today

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive Greek infantry fighting vehicles.

The European Pravda (Eurointegration) writes about this. The question is about 40 BMP-1 (official name BMP-1A1 Ost). The President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Minister of Defense of Greece Nikos Panayiotopoulos will hand them over to Ukraine during the visit to Kiev today.

Flashback

Greece is sending its armored vehicles to Ukraine as part of a circular exchange. Instead of the BMP-1 it will receive German Marder combat vehicles. The first six units arrived in Greece on 17 October. Germany will send a total of 40 infantry fighting vehicles to the Greeks.
