Ukraine requests the US C-RAM Air Defense System to combat Kakamaze Drones

The Ukrainian government has requested another air defense capability from the United States.

This was reported by the American publication ABC News, citing a letter from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk. Ukraine has submitted a request for supplies of the C-RAM system, with which the AFU plans to fight Russian kamikaze drones.

C-RAM is a type of tactical anti-aircraft defense that can defend against missile, artillery and mortar fire by destroying them during flight. The C-RAM system uses radar, opto-electronic and acoustic means to detect and determine the flight path of targets. Examples of C-RAM are German MANTIS and American Centurion systems.
