Lithuania handed over 120-mm Panzermörser mobile mortars based on the M113 tracked armored personnel carrier to the AFU

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received new military aid from Lithuania.

Here's What We Know

Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas told about it in Twitter. It is about additional batch of armored vehicles M113: 10 mobile 120-mm mortars Panzermörser and 2 fire control tanks. The equipment is already in Ukraine. By the way, since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, Lithuania has sent 62 M113 armored personnel carriers of various modifications to the AFU.

Flashback

The M113 is a tracked armored personnel carrier that is in service with the U.S. Army Mechanized Forces and other armies around the world. It was developed in 1957-1959 by the British company BAE Systems. In total, there are about 80,000 such vehicles in the world.
