Elon Musk's company transported about 100,000 passengers in four days at CES 2023 by underground tunnels under Las Vegas

Nearly 100,000 people took advantage of The Boring Company during last week's CES 2023 Consumer Electronics Show.

Here's What We Know

Elon Musk's company built an underground tunnel under Las Vegas where Tesla electric cars run. From January 5 to January 8, 2023, 94,000 Tesla customers used The Boring Company's services.

It spent $50 million to build the tunnel under Las Vegas. In 2022, the company secured permission to expand the network. The total length will reach 46 km.

The Boring Company reports that the average trip during CES 2023 was about 2 minutes and the wait time was less than 10 seconds. More than 10,000 customers passed through the Las Vegas Convention Center station, which is the closest to the convention center.
