Ukraine forms world's first UAV strike companies
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are forming the world's first UAV strike companies. General Valeriy Zaluzhnyy approved their creation during a meeting of the Supreme Command Headquarters. Moreover, jointly with the Defence Ministry, the General Staff and the State Special Forces, the Army of Drones project has set up a coordination headquarters to fully implement the project.
As the AFU General Staff explains, this is necessary in order to implement a number of key reforms and scale UAV production to provide drones to the AFU.
"The most professional servicemen have already been selected to lead the strike companies. Each will receive drones and ammunition, Starlink and other necessary equipment," the General Staff said in a statement.
The main training partner for the strike companies is the Boryviter military school.
