Netherlands, together with Germany and Denmark, will give Ukraine 100 Leopard 1A5 tanks
Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren has announced that the Netherlands plans to transfer Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
We are talking about at least 100 units of combat vehicles. The deliveries of the armaments will take place jointly with Germany and Denmark. The tanks are planned to be bought from the German industry. By the way, in addition to the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, Ukraine may also receive Leopard 1 tanks from Belgium. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when armament deliveries will begin.

Flashback
The Leopard 1 is Germany's main battle tank. It began to be developed after World War II in conjunction with France, but then the cooperation ceased. The Leopard 1 is in service in 12 countries. Thanks to a modernization program it is still in use. By the way, about 4,744 Leopard 1s were produced by 1984. The tank took part in the Bosnian War and in the War in Afghanistan.
