Not just more Challenger 2 tanks: the UK will also deliver more AS-90 SAUs to Ukraine than originally promised
The other day we wrote that UK will give Ukraine twice as many Challenger 2 tanks as originally promised to be transferred to Ukraine. As it turned out, the country's government also decided to supply the Armed Forces with more AS-90 tanks.
Here's What We Know
The information was shared by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, Vadym Pristayko. Instead of 24 self-propelled units, Ukraine will receive 33. By the way, Ukrainian crews have been undergoing a training programme in the use of the SAU for several weeks. Deliveries of armaments should begin shortly.
