Samsung Galaxy S23 sales soar in major global markets - Ultra version has 60% share
Samsung's flagship Galaxy S23 smartphones have suddenly become very popular. Sales of the new generation models have soared in major global markets.
Here's What We Know
In 2020, Samsung was able to sell more than 8 million Galaxy S20 smartphones in the first month. A year later, the flagship's popularity dwindled to 10 million in five months. In 2022, the manufacturer managed to sell less than 6 million Galaxy S22 models in two months. The Galaxy S23 range, on the other hand, has suddenly proved very popular.
Sales of the next-generation flagship in Europe and the Middle East were up 50%. In India, the company sold 40% more smartphones year-on-year. In Brazil and Mexico sales increased by 70%. Although in these countries the smartphones appeared one week late. Figures in the US are not specified.
Expectedly, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra became the most popular flagship of the new generation. The version with a 200MP camera and stylus support has a 60% share. The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ each accounted for 20%. And this is already unexpected, because usually the standard model sells better, because it costs less.
