Canada sends eight Leopard 2A4 tanks to Poland to be transferred to Ukraine
Canada sent the first Leopard 2A4 to Poland in early February 2023, destined for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A few months later, all the tanks arrived in Ukraine's neighbouring country.

The arrival in Poland of all Leopard 2A4 tanks from Canada was announced by National Defence Minister Anita Anand. The defence chief stressed that the North American country would continue supporting Ukraine in the war against the Russian federation.

Canada has officially announced that it will provide the Ukrainian armed forces with Leopard 2A4 tanks at the end of January 2023. Initially, it was a question of four combat vehicles, but a month later it was decided to increase their number to eight units.
