The Ukrainian Air Force for the first time showed an upgraded Su-25M1(K) Frogfoot attack aircraft arriving from northern Macedonia
North Macedonia last year handed over a Su-25 attack aircraft (NATO codified as Frogfoot) to Ukraine. The Air Force recently showed pictures of the plane for the first time.
Here's What We Know
The Su-25 Frogfoot, numbered 121, arrived in Ukraine in spring 2022. In that time it received a new number - 51 Blue - and underwent modernisation to the level of Su-25M1(K). The aircraft entered service with the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Air Force of Ukraine.

What is interesting, at one time this attack aircraft belonged to Ukraine. Until 2001 to be precise. Then Ukraine sold four aircraft to Northern Macedonia, and three years later they were decommissioned.
The upgrade to the level of Su-25M1(K) involves overhaul and extension of its service life. The aircraft received a combined Adros false thermal target shooter, a new sight, a radio and an upgraded signal reception system.
