Norway to give Ukraine 8 M270 multiple rocket launchers and 3 ARTHUR radars
Norway continues to help Ukraine and is now preparing a new military aid package for the AFU.
Here's What We Know
This was announced by the Norwegian Defence Minister at a joint press conference with his British counterpart. The new military aid package will include 8 M270 multiple rocket launchers. The AFU is already familiar with these systems and they have performed well in combat conditions. The M270 is based on the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. It is capable of engaging targets at ranges up to 300 km (depending on the projectile). It can be used at any time of day and in any weather conditions.
In addition to the M270, Norway will also send to Ukraine three Artillery Hunting Radars ARTHUR (Artillery Hunting Radar), which are already in service with the AFU. The radars are manufactured by the Swedish company Ericsson Microwave Systems.
