We have written more than once that Ukraine has received Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles. Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shown them in pictures.

Here's What We Know

Pictures of the BMP appeared in social networks. The images show the fighting vehicle in the newest modification CV9040C with 40mm Bofors L70 cannon and additional armour. The CV9040C also boasts an improved surveillance and air-conditioning system. In total there are to be around 50 such combat vehicles in service with the AFU.

Flashback

The CV90 is a Swedish infantry fighting vehicle developed in 1984 by Hägglunds (owned by Britain's BAE Systems) on behalf of the Swedish Army. Production of the vehicle started in 1993. Since then about 1170 BMP in different modifications were produced. Incidentally, it was recently reported that Ukraine would like to purchase 1,000 such BMPs in the future.
