The M109A6 Paladin howitzer destroys a Russian upgraded T-90M tank worth from $2.5m with a $100,000 SMArt 155 shell
The Ukrainian Defence Forces have destroyed another Russian T-90M tank. This time the soldiers of the 47th separate mechanised Magura brigade have done their best.
Here's What We Know
The tank was probably destroyed by an American M109A6 Paladin self-propelled howitzer, which can fire German SMArt 155 shells. The cost per cluster munition is about $100,000, while the tank costs $2.5-4.5 million, depending on the level of upgrade.

The T-90M is the newest Russian tank used in the war against Ukraine. There is also a T-14 Armata, but it is not involved in combat operations.
According to Oryx, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have captured at least two tanks. In total, the Russian army has lost more than two dozen upgraded T-90M tanks in 16 months.
