Norway to give Ukraine new batch of Black Hornet microdrones for urban warfare

At the end of 2022, Norway, together with the UK, handed over Black Hornet microdrones to Ukraine. Now it has become known that the AFU will receive a new batch of drones.

Here's What We Know

This was announced during the NATO summit in Vilnius by the Norwegian Defence Minister Bjørn Arild Gram (Bjørn Arild Gram). We are talking about the Black Hornet batch of 1,000 units. It is not yet known when the drone deliveries will start. By the way, the cost of one set, which includes two drones, remote control and charging station, is $40-60 thousand.

Black Hornet is a military unmanned microflying drone. It was developed by the Norwegian company Prox Dynamics for the British Army. The drone has dimensions of 10×2.5 cm and weighs about 16 grams. It fits easily in your hand. The Black Hornet is designed for short-range combat operations, including urban warfare. The minidrone has an operating time of 25 minutes. It is capable of detecting targets at a distance of up to 2 kilometres. The maximum flight speed is 21.49 km/h.
