At the NATO summit on 12 July, Norway announced that it would transfer Black Hornet microdrones to Ukraine. As it turned out, the AFU will receive additional weapons.

Here's What We Know

According to the website of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, Ukraine will receive two launchers of the NASAMS surface-to-air missile system. The delivery will also include two control points and spare parts for SAMs. It is not yet known when the deliveries will start. By the way, apart from Norway, Ukraine will also receive two NASAMS launchers from Lithuania.

Flashback

NASAMS is a mobile surface-to-air missile system for destroying manoeuvring targets at low and medium altitudes. The complex was developed in the early 90s by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence with the participation of the American Raytheon. The range of AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles is 20-40 kilometres and the maximum altitude is 20 kilometres. The cost of one such battery is about $65 million. Ukraine now has at least two NASAMS batteries in service.
