Samsung is still working on making foldable smartphones dustproof
Modern foldable smartphones have reached the point where they can boast of water protection, but they still lack dust resistance. However, Samsung continues to work on making its foldable gadgets not only water-resistant, but also dust-resistant.
Here's What We Know
There were rumours that the Galaxy Fold 5 and Flip 5 would be the first "foldables" with dust protection. But the official presentation showed that they are protected only against water, like their predecessors. It seems that the manufacturer really had such a plan, but it did not work out.
Samsung's mobile chief Te Moon Roh (TM Roh) says that the company is still looking for ways to make foldable smartphones dustproof. But it needs more time to do so, as the design of foldable phones is quite complex.
Te Mun Roh admitted that the company is well aware of the consumer demand for the feature and is making great efforts to realise it.
