Media : Ubisoft has cancelled development of Immortals sequel Fenyx Rising for the sake of additional resources to work on Assassin's Creed Codename Red
Last week it became known that Ubisoft decided to cancel the development of the second part of the fantasy action game Immortals Fenyx Rising.
Today this story has been continued.
Here's What We Know
Axios editor Stephen Totilo talked to Ubisoft employees and said that the cancellation of Immortals sequel was in favour of quick and quality completion of Assassin's Creed Codename Red - the long-awaited game in the setting of feudal Japan.

Asking around, I heard that Immortals 2's focus on Polynesian gods was promising and being handled well. But it sounds like getting AC Red done is the priority at the Quebec City studio https://t.co/KsJF8grBqN
For his part, VGC editor Andy Robinson says that Ubisoft Québec employees aren't keen on doing Assassin's Creed instead of Immortals 2, but management insists it's a necessity.
I'm told that many Immortals leads are pushing back on being moved to AC. Will be interesting to see how that pans out
