Anyway: Samsung patents a "two-way" smartphone
It seems that Samsung does not just record all the design ideas for future smartphones, but immediately apply for a patent. The engineers of the company did not stop at the variant with the curved edges of the display - the US patent office USPTO approved the application for the device, the screen of which comes to the back panel:
The patent was issued to the Samsung Display unit, whose employees were too lazy to finish the gadget with a speaker and a camera. The flexible panel "wraps" the smartphone's body: the display envelopes the side face and continues on the back side, reaching its middle. The design is a bit like Meizu Pro 7, but in the Chinese flagship behind a separate screen.
Even if Samsung plans to release such devices in the future, this is unlikely to happen in the near future. But for 2018, the manufacturer plans to announce a folding smartphone with a flexible display. The device will appear later the flagship family Galaxy S9 .
