Xiaomi India sold over 1 million budget Redmi 12 smartphones in four weeks and made over $120 million in revenue
Xiaomi has boasted of the success of its Redmi 12 series of budget smartphones in the Indian market. The new generation comes in 4G and 5G models.

The Redmi 12 4G and 5G debuted in India on 1 August 2023 and went on sale three days later. In a few hours, the Chinese company managed to sell 300,000 smartphones in the country and earned more than $36 million.

Naturally, the pace dropped over time, but the devices continued to be popular in India. It is learnt that Xiaomi was able to sell more than 1 million smartphones in 28 days. The Redmi 12 starts at the $120 million mark for the version without 5G support, meaning the company has earned over $120 million in less than a month.
