There are special codes on the iPhone 15 packaging that are only visible under UV light
On September 22, sales of new smartphones of the iPhone 15 line officially started in different countries of the world. And bloggers have revealed another innovation, which Apple did not talk about either during the presentation or after it.
Here's What's New About It
These are new security measures that will help buyers distinguish the original iPhone from the fake. Apple has updated the packaging of the gadgets and added labels and QR codes that are visible only under ultraviolet light.
The boxes of the new iPhone 15 are equipped with a security system that displays holograms under a UV light. This is a measure introduced by Apple to recognise real boxes and prevent people from being scammed pic.twitter.com/oBhQoc5IDI

It's not yet clear if these special signs will appear on the boxes of older models that remain on sale.
Obviously, scammers will eventually learn to copy these holograms as well, so before buying, we recommend that you:
- Inspect the box and compare it with the original Apple packaging - in person (if available) or with photos, which are plentiful on the Internet;
- Check the serial number on the box;
- Open the box in front of the seller and check if the information shown in the smartphone settings (e.g. serial number and IMEI) matches what is printed on the box.
