Essential sold 88 thousand smartphones in 2017
Essential Phone was introduced in July 2017. And since that time, according to the published information director of research at IDC, the manufacturer sold 88,000 smartphones. Such figures indicate that the company is still a startup among such major players as Apple, Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi. The company Andy Rubina (Andy Rubin), unfortunately, could not repeat the success of OnePlus.

Causes
Low sales are connected, first of all, with some problems of the smartphone itself. Initially, at the start of sales PH-1 had a huge number of bugs due to the non-optimized OS. Also, many users complained about the camera and poor reception of cellular communications. And for all this the manufacturer asked for $ 700. But even a price cut to $ 500 did not help.
Characteristics
Recall that the smartphone received 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1312 pixels, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of built-in. Also in the PH-1 installed a dual camera at 13 megapixels, USB Type C and a battery at 3040 mAh.
