The beta version of Android 8.1 Oreo for Essential PH-1 was released
Essential promised to quickly update its smartphone to Android 8.0 Oreo, but because of the huge number of errors, the firmware never came out of the "beta". Therefore, the company promised to immediately release Android 8.1. And it happened. The manufacturer announced the launch of beta testing.

What changed
This is the first assembly, but nevertheless, changes and improvements are present. The manufacturer added dynamic icons to the applications "Clock" and "Calendar", "smart" selection of text, the function "Picture in Picture". In addition, the company has eliminated the problem of slowing down the smartphone.
When to expect
It's only until the beta version and it's unknown when the final firmware will be released.
