Its representatives will be more powerful than the solutions of the Snapdragon 600 family and will receive some functions from the older Snapdragon 800 series. At the same time, the new SoC will be cheaper than the flagship processors.

Specific models with characteristics in Qualcomm have not yet been named, but the company promises a 30% higher energy efficiency compared to Snapdragon 660. Performance will also increase slightly, and in artificial intelligence tasks, a twofold increase is expected. Thanks to the engine of Qualcomm AI Engine, which is now available not only for the 800th line.

In chips Snapdragon 700 will be used signal processor Spectra for processing images from the camera. Theoretically, this should improve the quality of shooting in poor lighting, in addition, manufacturers will be able to use AI to recognize scenes and objects. Qualcomm also added support for Quick Charge 4+ quick charge technology to 50% in 15 minutes (with a capacity of 2750 mAh battery) and Bluetooth 5 standard.

Deliveries of the Snapdragon 700 family for pratterners will begin in the first half of the year, and devices based on them should be expected by the end of 2018. Most likely, these will be models costing $ 400-500.
