This information was reported by the Korean media.

As part of the investigation, eight people, including Lee Sung-kyung and representatives of a large family conglomerate, have been accused of repeatedly using illegal drugs over the course of a year.

State news agency Yonhap reported that although police have not officially named Lee as a suspect, they have information suggesting the actor is linked to illegal activities. At the same time, authorities do not yet have exact information on what specific substances Lee Sung Kyung may have used.

Lee Sung Kyung himself went to the police with a complaint of blackmail by a person allegedly associated with the group, claiming that he lost significant amounts of money due to extortion.

Recall, Lee Sung Kyung was honoured by the Screen Actors Guild for his role in the film "Parasites", where he played the head of the wealthy Park family. The film itself, which was released in 2019, was honoured by the Academy Awards in four categories, including the main ones of "best film" and "best director".
