The US hit Iranian ammunition depots in Syria. This was reported by the US Department of Defence.
Here's What We Know
The military facilities were attacked on 27 October at around 21:30 (EDT) or 18:30 (PDT). This is the first time this has happened since the end of March. The strikes on Iranian arms and ammunition depots were carried out in self-defence after US soldiers had been attacked several times in Iraq and Syria since 17 October.
It was initially reported that the US used F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets, which recently arrived in the Middle East. According to clarified information, the US only used a pair of F-16s to carry out the strikes.

The US military attacked Iranian military targets on the orders of US President Joe Biden. The targets were located on the border with Iraq. The depots were used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its factions. The strikes were not coordinated in any way with Israel, which is waging war against Hamas.
