Sadly, it's true: Bungie's CEO has confirmed the news of layoffs at the studio
Bungie CEO Pete Parsons has confirmed the news of layoffs at the studio, which was shared yesterday by well-known insider Jason Schreier.
Here's What We Know
Pete Parsons was saddened to announce that indeed, a number of studio employees will be out of work. He noted that each of these talented individuals has made a huge contribution to Bungie and its games, and is eager to give the best advice to each of them.
Today is a sad day at Bungie as we say goodbye to colleagues who have all made a significant impact on our studio. What these exceptional individuals have contributed to our games and Bungie culture has been enormous and will continue to be a part of Bungie long into the future.

It's not yet known how many employees will be leaving Bungie. Judging by reports in social networks, the American developer preferred to keep the team of game designers and dismissed specialists who dealt with the community, social networks and growth strategy.
Well... my heart is breaking for all affected

I am now looking for opportunities. I have 21 years of games industry experience in media, production, and community management. I'm processing,I'm so heartbroken. I don't know what to do from here... this was my home. I feel so lost
Fired employees and fans of Bungie games shouldn't blame the studio's management for such an unpopular decision, as it was dictated by the desire to cut costs by Sony Corporation, of which Bungie became a part in July 2022.
