LSEV: the world's first serial electric vehicle, which is printed on a 3D printer
Italians from XEV and Chinese company Polymaker have produced an electric car, which is printed on a 3D printer and is called LSEV.
Features
LSEV - a double city mini electric car. The machine consists of 57 parts and is printed for three days, and in the assembled state it weighs only 450 kg. Electronics, chassis, glass, engine, seats and transmission are installed separately. The maximum speed of LSEV is 70 km / h. The battery lasts for 150 kilometers.
When and how much should I wait
Mass production of the electric vehicle LSEV is scheduled for 2019. The approximate price of the novelty will be 7500 US dollars. The market is Europe and Asia. Italian postal operator Poste Italiane and the French leasing company ARVAL have already ordered 5000 and 2000 electric cars XEV LSEV respectively.
Other attempts
In 2014 and 2015, Local Motors showed the electric cars Strati and LM3D Swim printed on the 3D printer. The latter was to be launched into mass production in 2017 and to become the first serial electric car, printed on a 3D printer, but something went wrong.
