Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be released sooner than expected

According to Korean publications, the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may appear on sale earlier than its predecessor Galaxy Note 8.

Where does information come from?

Such conclusions were made by insiders after learning about the plans for the release of OLED-panels for the future smartphone. As expected, Samsung Display will start production in April, although in past years the pipeline started only in June. Thus, the presentation of Note 9 can take place in July or early August.

The source adds that the flagship will receive a display with a diagonal of 6.38 inches - slightly more than the 6.32-inch panel in the current generation. The fingerprint integrated in the scanner screen will not be. Apparently, the proposed Samsung Display implementation of the sensor again did not fit.

There is one more indirect confirmation of the early release of the smartphone. As we have already told , the development of software for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 started a few weeks earlier than in the case of Note 8.

Why is Samsung?

Insiders call two possible reasons. Moving the premiere of Samsung's flagship increases the time interval between its presentation and the autumn announcement of Apple. No matter how interesting the new iPhone is , the Korean giant will have time to ship more Galaxy Note 9.

The second factor is demand for the Galaxy S9, which practically did not increase in comparison with last year's Galaxy S8. Pre-orders in several countries were even lower than in the previous generation, and in the first year the company plans to sell only 2 million more flagships (43 million against 41 million from S8).

Exit Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will help spur sales of smartphones. By the way, Galaxy S9 / S9 + also appeared on the market a month earlier than S8 / 8 +.
