A 13-year-old boy from the United States has become the first person in history to successfully complete the last level of the iconic Soviet video game Tetris 40 years after its invention by engineer Alexei Pazhitnov. Willis Gibson, posted a video on his YouTube channel, where he reaches the 157th level of the game, after which the game stops, gives an error and freezes. It took him just 38 minutes to reach level 157, which is apparently the last level where the blocks stop falling and the game freezes.

The Tetris game gained worldwide fame five years after its invention in the USSR. The player builds falling "building blocks" in horizontal lines, and when an even row without gaps is formed, it disappears and points are awarded. In 1989, the game was released on Nintendo, including the Game Boy handheld. Today, the game is available on game consoles, computers, tablets, and mobile phones. Over the years, gamers have developed various methods of playing Tetris, including the hyper-tapping technique, which allows you to press the buttons on the controller faster. Since 2018, this technique has been successfully used at the World Classic Tetris Championships. Until recently, however, only artificial intelligence could reach the 157th level, where the game stopped.
