Where MGS began: Konami has released the first instalment of a series of documentary videos exploring the history of the iconic Metal Gear Solid franchise

Konami Publishing is actively engaged in the revival of the Metal Gear franchise.

In autumn 2023, Legendary series of stealth action games in one edition: the release trailer of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was released, which included five parts of the cult franchise and various additional materials to them.

In 2024, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is expected to be released - a complete remake of the third instalment of the stealth action series created in 2004 by Hideo Kojima.

Here's What We Know

Ahead of Snake Eater's high-profile release, Konami has released a short documentary video focusing on the main events and features of MGS.

Notably, the narrator is Metal Gear Solid fan-favourite actor David Hayter, who voiced Solid Snake in all of the games where he was the protagonist.

The presented video is only the first part of Metal Gear Solid Legacy series of documentaries dedicated to the history of creation of the cult games.

In the next episode, David Hayter promised to reveal something interesting about Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and the original game that was the basis for this remake.
