Microsoft Teams gets smarter with Copilot's enhanced AI capabilities
Microsoft
Microsoft has added new Copilot AI features to its Teams collaboration app that will allow the chatbot to better assist users during virtual meetings, calls and messaging.
Here's What We Know
One of the key innovations will be the merging of transcripts of verbal and written discussions into a cohesive view. This will make it easier to track the progress of meetings that a user may have missed. Copilot will also get enhanced capabilities to edit and generate messages in Teams chats based on the context of the conversation.
"Copilot can adjust your message to add a call to action, or like how a pirate would speak" Microsoft explains.

In the second quarter of the year, the "Intelligent call recap" feature will become available for Teams Premium subscribers. It will automatically take notes during phone conversations, allowing you to easily summarise them and capture next steps.
The corporation is also working on a number of innovations to improve the experience of hybrid meetings in Teams with participants both in the office and remotely. These include automatic camera switching using AI for optimal viewing and speech recognition from any microphones in meeting rooms.
