A series from the world of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman will be released later this month, but in the meantime Netflix have shared a fresh trailer which is very intriguing.

Here's What We Know

Previously, fans of "The Sandman" didn't know for sure if the upcoming "Dead Boy Detectives" would directly cross over with characters from the original series, but a fresh trailer has definitely confirmed that yes.

-"We're pretty good detectives"'Dead Boy Detectives' says one of the guys," "when we're not hiding from Death" second added. And they mean none other than the very same Death, played by Kirby Howell-Baptiste from The Sandman, who stands in front of them, smiling sweetly.

Series Overview

In the clip, detectives Charles Rowland, played by Jayden Revri, and Edwin Payne, played by George Rexstrew, introduce their agency Dead Boy, which helps ghosts solve mysteries of the past.

According to the official synopsis, the new show is a ghost story that "explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland , two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson).".

Charles and Edwin first appeared in "The Sandman" #15, a comic book written by Gaiman, in 1991, and have since appeared in several comic books and manga-style graphic novels.

"Dead Boy Detectives" was developed for television by Steve Yockey, who serves as co-showrunner along with Beth Schwartz.

When We Can Expect It

The series launches on Netflix on 25 April.
