One of the leading encrypted messaging apps, Signal, has announced the launch of a new way to track contacts via a beta version.
Here's What We Know
The feature is available as part of the app's beta and allows users to create custom names and notes, even for contacts that aren't in their phonebook.
While not the most exciting update, it does give users additional freedom in managing their contacts. Custom nicknames and notes can be especially useful for those who use their username to identify friends online.
How To Switch It On
To take advantage of this update, users need to join the Signal beta via Google Play or download the PC beta from the official website.
