A bank card with a flexible OLED display has been unveiled: why is it there?
We are already used to gadgets and home appliances that have displays. But Sentry Enterprises has gone a step further and started manufacturing Radiance bank cards with displays.

It can be a credit or debit card that has a small, flexible OLED display embedded in it. No, it's not touchscreen, nor does it show the time or incoming messages. In fact, the screen here only acts as a backlight - it lights up when you make a payment. Banks can also make the display in the form of their logo so that it lights up while using the card.
The Radiance card can be issued as Visa or Mastercard. The displays themselves are manufactured by Konica Minolta. Incidentally, the panel doesn't require a battery - it gets the energy it needs to light up from the NFC receiver, that is, when you pay for your purchases.
It's still unclear when the first cards will hit the market, as Sentry has yet to name partners. It looks like the company is still on the lookout for banks that will be interested in Radiance cards.
