Media: 2K Games is preparing a strong lineup of releases for fiscal year 2025. Players can get Mafia IV, BioShock 4 and new Borderlands
The last few years have been sparse on major releases from 2K Games.
The company mostly released only sports simulators, and fans of other franchises and genres didn't get new games, but the situation may change soon.
Here's What We Know
Journalist Ethan Gach reported that he got hold of an internal email from 2K Games CEO David Ismailer, in which he told employees that despite the layoffs, the company expects to perform well in fiscal year 2025.
Ethan Gach emphasised that several big-budget games will be released during this period, which could include a sequel to Mafia, BioShock 4, the seventh instalment of Civilization and a new Borderlands.
It is also reported that the studio 31st Union, created by one of the founders of Sledgehammer Games, is preparing some kind of big-budget game.
It is assumed that some of the future projects of 2K Games will be presented at Summer Game Fest 2024, especially xnj a few days ago insider Kurakasis reported that the company is preparing for the presentation of Mafia 4 (the name is conditional).
