Detailed maps, ground transport, difficulty tweaks and more: Bethesda has revealed details of the biggest update for Starfield

Bethesda Game Studios has revealed details of the May patch for Starfield, which will be the biggest update to the space role-playing game.
Here's What We Know
The update, the beta version of which is already available on Steam, provides a huge number of innovations, including:
- detailed maps of cities, settlements and territories of planets;
- updated system of spaceship construction: now players will be able to create them from empty modules and fill the interior at will;
- detailed difficulty setting will be available in the game. Gamers will be able to choose the maximum limit of money from merchants, the payload of their character, adjust the damage and health of enemies and tweak other elements of Starfield. Each setting affects the amount of experience points you receive;
- Bethesda will add an additional difficulty level - Extreme;
- New Game+ mode will allow you to re-select your character's unique traits and appearance;
- additional graphics quality settings will appear on Xbox Series X: the developers will provide a choice between 30 fps and 60 fps, or between 30, 40, 60 and unlimited fps if you have a display with VRR;
- dialogue camera can be turned off;
- Starfield will feature ground transport;
- new quests outside of DLC will be added to the game in the future;
- individual modification creators have already been given access to the Creation Kit toolkit for Starfield, if they are satisfied - soon it will be in the public domain.
