Redfall was supposed to get a big update in May, but it won't happen due to the closure of Arkane Austin
We wrote that Microsoft is closing Tango Gameworks, Arkane Austin, and two other studios. Arkane Austin is the creator of the failed Redfall shooter, but the studio was working on updates that we will never see again.
Here's What We Know
IGN reports that Arkane Austin has been working on DLC and updates for the co-operative shooter about the destruction of vampires. Also, the game was supposed to have an offline mode, but this will not happen anymore. However, the game's servers will continue to work (although it is not known for how long). Peak online Redfall on PC does not reach 100 people. Of course, we don't know the figures for Xbox and Game Pass, but it's unlikely that the situation there is much better.
In general, the update was supposed to be released this May. So if Microsoft had closed the studio in June, we would have seen new changes in Redfall, but that will never happen.
