Google may integrate cases into the design of Pixel phones

The company announced that they are designing their new Pixel phone models with the use of cases in mind.

This news was revealed in an interview with Google's Director of Industrial Design Claude Zellweger. He said that cases have become an important part of the process of creating new Pixel phones, as 90 per cent of people use them. This means that the design of phones now includes the consideration of this accessory as a necessary component.

Zellweger said that Google CEO Sundar Pichai personally pays attention to the design, giving opinions on colour, ergonomics and other aspects.

A major part of the design is the camera panel, which is becoming increasingly integrated into the phone's body.
